Another blast from the past. Shanghai Fireworks brings the orange Kobe 8 colorway from 2013 back into the conversation in Protro form. The original was exclusive to China, but that history does not mean the 2026 release will follow the same regional restrictions. Orange and red graphics run across the light upper, with a dark Swoosh and bright orange heel giving the shoe its recognizable contrast. Laser Orange, Cinnabar and Safety Orange are the reported colors, although Nike’s final colorway wording still needs confirmation. The appeal is straightforward: a familiar piece of Kobe history on the low cut Kobe 8. Specific performance changes for this release have not been confirmed, so the Protro name alone is not a reason to promise a particular cushioning setup.
Kobes are back to being attainable for all. That is how I’m approaching this return: another chance to get a pair you want, with less reason to treat every release like a must win. The nostalgia is there, but I do not see it as a reason to build a big premium over retail into the decision. That does not guarantee every size will be easy. Be careful with raffle entries and make sure you read return policies. Multiple entries can become multiple charges, and a final sale pair leaves you fewer options if the market softens. Buy because you want the shoe and the total price works for you.
November 11, 2026 and a $200 US retail price are reported, with direct Nike confirmation still outstanding. I’m treating this as a GR, but US access, regional schedules and sizing have not been confirmed. The original China exclusive story should not be mistaken for a confirmed restriction on this return. Before entering, check the retailer’s payment terms, cancellation rules and return policy. There is no verified purchasing or raffle link for this release yet. Uncle Chrissy’s Raffles & Drops will carry access updates, and CHECK LIVE PRICE lets you compare the market with the target range. Come back as launch details settle and we get a clearer picture of the buying window.
